My all-time favorite quote that has helped push me through moments of self-doubt in all areas of life is one by Henry Ford stating, “whether you think you can, or think you can’t – you’re right”. On a more athlete side, my favorite quote is a classic by Mia Hamm that was written in my volleyball gym growing up: “Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become, and the hours of practice, and the coaches who have pushed you, is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back…play for her”. My love for the sport of volleyball stems from the necessity to work as a team in order to be successful. There is nothing individual in volleyball and a team that cannot work together will not work at all. Relationships amongst teammates are EVERYTHING and the connections I made while playing mean everything to me! I hope to foster meaningful relationships as a coach and push young athletes to do their best for not just themselves, but their team!
