Enjoyment/Motivation
Watching young ladies fall in love with my favorite sport is the best part of coaching. It's an honor to help them become the best they can be, on and off the court. I'm highly competitive and always play to win, but years of volleyball have taught me that success cannot be measured by trophies and awards. Sometimes winning is having confidence in yourself, making friends on your team, or learning a new skill. What a privilege to be on the sidelines of my players' lives, cheering them to victory.
About me
I am on faculty at Auburn University, teaching Public Speaking--everyone's favorite course. I also homeschool my three kids, Camilla (14), Saul (8), and Cora Beth (6). My husband, Jeff, and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary this year. We've lived in Auburn since 2016, when his job brought us here from Texas.
Playing/Coaching Experience
I fell in love with volleyball at the age of 13. Playing it all the way through college. I attended Navarro College in Corsicana, TX, on a scholarship. Since college, I've coached private high school teams, JV and Varsity homeschool teams, and parks and rec teams. Recently, I began offering private lessons to high schoolers. I've also played in church and co-ed adult leagues-anything to keep my hands on a volleyball!
